## Description

A library of generic materials so example and prototype content looks presentable without authoring shaders. Metal, plastic, glass, glow and transparent variants, plus material functions for depth fade, fresnel, linear masks, opacity, pulse, sinus panning, size and vertical gradient opacity.

The hologram material is used by preview and ghost effects.

## Setup

1. Enable `AFA_Materials`.
2. Assign the `M_Generic_*` materials to meshes, or use the `MF_*` functions in your own materials.

## Usage

Use the generic materials for greyboxing and prototype content. The material functions are the more durable part of this plugin — `MF_Fresnel` and `MF_DepthFade` in particular appear throughout the framework's own effects.

## Key properties

| Property | When to change |
|---|---|
| Material instance parameters | Create instances rather than editing the parent materials |

## Extending

Create material instances in your own content; use the `MF_*` functions in your own material graphs.

## Example map

Used across the example maps for props and greybox geometry.

## Troubleshooting

**The hologram material does not fade with distance.** It relies on Mobile HDR being enabled, which `AFM_Teleport` sets.

## API reference

This plugin ships assets rather than blueprint classes, so it has no blueprint API. See the Description and Usage sections above.
